MINIMUM CRITERIA AND QUALIFICATIONS

To become one of our award winning Cabin Crew you will need to meet the following criteria and qualifications:
  • Minimum age 21 years.
  • Fluent in English; verbal, written and comprehension. Fluency in another language is an advantage.
  • Must be confident in water and be able to swim with the aid of a flotation device.
  • Able to reach 210cms without shoes.
  • No tattoos that would be visible whilst wearing the Etihad uniform (bandages and cosmetic coverings are not permitted).
  • No body piercings that would be visible whilst wearing the Etihad uniform, other than one earring in the lower lobe of each ear for females only (bandages and cosmetic coverings are not permitted).
  • Educated to a minimum level of accredited secondary education or equivalent.
  • Never convicted of a criminal offence.
  • Excellent personal presentation, style and image.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willing to comply with UAE and GCAA visa, medical and health screening requirements.
RECRUITMENT PROCESS

AirAsia Berhad - Cabin Crew Walk-In Interview (Open to Malaysians only)


Responsibilities:
  • To attend pre-flight briefing, during which Flight Attendant are assigned their working positions for the upcoming flight 
  • To carrying out pre-flight duties, including checking the safety equipment, ensuring the aircraft is clean and tidy, ensuring that information in the seat pockets is up to date and that all meals and stock are on board
  • To welcome passengers on board and directing them to their seats; 
  • To inform passengers of the aircraft safety procedures and ensuring that all hand luggage is securely stored away;
  • To check all passenger seat belts and galleys are secure prior to take-off;
  • Make announcements on behalf of the pilot and answering passenger questions during the flight;
  • To performs sales on meal & duty-free goods and advising passengers of any allowance restrictions in force at their destination; 
  • Reassuring passengers and ensuring that they follow safety procedures correctly in emergency situations; 
  • Ensure passengers disembark safely at the end of a flight and checking that there is no luggage left in the overhead lockers; completing paperwork, including writing a flight report

Air Asia Cabin Crew Final Interview Result - Finale

Wow, today's Friday the 13th. I guess it's a lucky day. Wondering if there's still a spark of hope on my application. So, I decided to call the agency's representative. I was given a little. AirAsia's Recruitment Team decided to put us on the replacement list to fill those who failed medicals. But another thing is, they are still in the talks of putting up another batch composed of 40. Whichever it may lead to, hoping it would be favorable on both parties. They will be here next Tuesday to clarify these issues. Another week to endure..

Update as of 16 December 2013:
Received an SMS from the agency asking if I received a call from AK. Nada.

Update as of 19 December 2013:
GAIC (agency) informed that yesterday, AK conducted a closed/by invite only interview, held at AirAsia Zest HQ at Salem Complex, Pasay City. I guess they will be hiring a new batch from those previous applicants from AirAsia Berhad and AirAsia Zest.

Air Asia Cabin Crew Final Interview Result Part 1

I haven't received any updates from AK or D7, even just a regret letter. It's been 2 weeks. Unfortunately, some of us aren't sure what happened with our application. 42 of them were selected for AK and another for D7. Total of 84 applicants succeeded. Huge number right? We even called the agency if should we wait or just move on. They are still waiting for confirmation if its the final list. As for me, the best is yet to come. Moving on...
